Commercial Food Processing (with RFID)

Using RFID enabled temperature sensing probes, operators in the commercial food processing industry can send temperature sensors right along with the food. It is wireless and transmits the temperatures as the food moves along the conveyor belt. Opportunities to expand this technology to other markets are available. 1. Hospital and Surgical Inventory Management Tracking

Inventory management system for cardiology and general surgery rooms (RFID Technology). This utilizes UHF Gen 2 RFID smart labels and handheld scanners. Database software resides on a local PC or can be hosted on a remote server. Many medical and non-medical applications could utilize this state-of-the art technology. 2. Hand Hygiene Compliance

Hand hygiene verification system using RFID wireless sensors soap dispensers. The database software can reside on a local PC, a remote server, or in the "cloud". This system is configured to interface to an RTLS system to track "who", "where", and "when" hands are being cleaned as well as with "what" type of soap. This system is used to reduce hospital acquired infections.

3. Medical Device

Patient monitor which gets surgically placed in the body. Energy is wirelessly transferred through the skin to power the device known as Trans-cutaneous Energy Transfer (TET). High bandwidth data is wirelessly transmitted through the skin for collection. Low power, multi-channel A/D converters pickup the very low level signals.

1. Asset and Inventory Management RFID Cabinets

A first and second generation RFID cabinet was developed to track pharmaceutical, biological and biotechnology assets. The unit has an Internet connection to communicate to a remote database management system. This technology has unlimited applications that Matrix Product Development could customize for your needs. Wireless rechargeable controls to convert M4 Rifles into laser tag training for outdoors and indoors. These incorporate Li-Ion rechargeable batteries and Zigbee radio to track scores. 1. Human Machine Interface (HMI)

Co-developed, manufactured, and calibrated the initial light pollution monitors for the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA). These will produce a worldwide standard for light pollution measurement and hopefully fuel legislation to set lighting standards in order to reduce light pollution across the planet.
